Team Strength and Conditioning Clinics

Team Strength and Conditioning Clinics are provided for any sports teams or recreational groups looking to prepare for an upcoming season or train within a season. Here we diagnose the specific needs of the team and create workouts based on sport specific functionality.

The collective energy of the group is enhanced through teamwork and group challenges. This training is conducted in a team environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

Sport Specific Skill Development

Sport Specific Skill Development is offered in the following sports: boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, and football. This type of training offers individuals and groups opportunities to attack areas of weakness and develop as complete players in their particular sport.

 

This could include: enhanced ball handling, pivot footwork, passing and shooting technique in basketball; proper pitching, hitting, fielding and catching technique in baseball; running back, quarterback, and wideout footwork and proper route running or blocking technique in football.

Sports Specific Functional Training

Sports Specific Functional Training is offered for participants seeking to build the proper strength and conditioning in order to compete at the highest possible level within their sport. We train athletes in a wide spectrum of sports including: Boys and Girls Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Football, Dance, Rowing, Crew, Skiing/Snowboarding, Cheerleading, Hockey, Field Hockey, Tennis.

 

Each of these sports require particular and specific strength and conditioning modalities that create successful experiences on the field of play. Our goal is to assess the athlete and design a custom tailored program specific to the needs of the individual and the requirements of their sport. 

Obstacle Race Training and Preparation

Obstacle Race Training and Preparation is offered for individuals and groups seeking to enhance their levels of fitness in order to participate in the sport of obstacle racing. From beginners to seasoned veterans we work together with our clients to overcome the barriers that stand in their way.

 

Whether your goal is to complete your first race or to become an elite racer competing at the highest level we create the program and the motivational and supportive environment to take you to the next level. Coach Caron is Spartan SGX, SealFit Basic Training Certified, has been a coach for Ben Greenfield and Hunter McIntyre's Obstacle Dominator program, is the head strength and conditioning coach at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and Reading Memorial high school, and has completed a wide array of obstacle races. 

Outdoor Bootcamps

Outdoor Bootcamps are offered throughout the summer in Massachusetts. These bootcamps offer a circuit training style workout for all ages and ability levels and include varied equipment and a vast array of exercises including: TRX bands, Kettlebells, Battle Ropes, Parachutes, Tires, Sledgehammers, Speed Ladders, Plyometric Boxes, Cone Drills, Sand Bags, Medicine Balls, Dip Stations, Pull-Up Bars, Speed Sacs, Boxing Gloves and Focus Mitts etc.

 

Every exercise in the circuit can be modified to all ages and ability levels. These workouts are set to music and are offered in an incredibly fun, enthusiastic, highly-spirited, and motivational environment. The workouts typically last one hour and include proper warm-up and cool down periods. We can host these events at a location convenient to your group.

Summer Youth Clinics

Summer Youth Clinics

Our program offerings teach proper form and technique and introduce participants to a variety of types of exercise including basic introductory to advanced Olympic style weight training, yoga, and circuit training. Participants will learn the following: what muscle groups they are working and why, how to train with precision in form and technique, how to properly stretch, warm-up, and cool down, how rest and recovery periods impact your mind and body, and how healthy eating habits support training. Additionally they will develop sport specific skills with the assistance of experienced coaches. 

Participants will walk away with a greater sense of self and will be provided with the knowledge and motivational tools to maintain their physical health, excel at their sport, and become better teammates. This is all done in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

 

Get Burly offers a variety of summer program options. We conduct these programs for town and city recreation department, youth sports programs, and high school and collegiate athletic teams. These clinics run for one or two weeks depending on the specific needs of the group. Contact us to sign up your group or team.

This Clinic is oriented around team building and group fitness challenges. We teach proper form and technique and introduce participants to a variety of types of exercise including basic weight training, yoga, and circuit training. Participants will learn the following: what muscle groups they are working and why; how to train with precision in form and technique; how to properly stretch; warm-up, and cool down; how rest and recovery periods impact your mind and body; and how to support exercise with healthy eating habits. Participants will walk away with a greater sense of self and will be provided with the knowledge and motivational tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This is all conducted in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

Option 2- All Sports Camp

At our all sports camp participants will learn the rules and regulations of a variety of sports including but not limited to: basketball, soccer, wiffle ball, mat ball, tchouck ball, kick ball, ultimate Frisbee, tag games, project adventure games etc.  Once rules and regulations are established participants will learn the basic skills required to actively participate in each sport or activity and regulation games will be played. Individuals at the clinic will learn how team work, camaraderie, unity, and focus positively impact outcomes and create a shared vision and collective movement. Participants will perform an active warm-up and cool down each day. By the conclusion of the clinic campers will have developed a greater sense of self and an understanding of how their unique abilities and strengths contribute to the success of the group.  This is all conducted in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

 

Option 3- Basketball Camp

At our basketball camp participants will learn the rules and regulations of basketball. Develop enhanced skills of team and individual play including dribbling, passing, shooting, and team offensive and defensive strategy. Individuals at the clinic will learn how team work, camaraderie, unity, and focus positively impact outcomes and create a shared vision and collective movement. Participants will perform an active warm-up and cool down each day. By the conclusion of the clinic campers will have developed a greater sense of self and an understanding of how their unique abilities and strengths contribute to the success of the group. This is all conducted in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

 

Option 4- Baseball Camp

At our baseball camp participants will learn the rules and regulations of baseball. Develop enhanced skills of team and individual play including pitching, hitting, fielding, baserunning, and team offensive and defensive strategy. Individuals at the clinic will learn how team work, camaraderie, unity, and focus positively impact outcomes and create a shared vision and collective movement. Participants will perform an active warm-up and cool down each day. By the conclusion of the clinic campers will have developed a greater sense of self and an understanding of how their unique abilities and strengths contribute to the success of the group. This is all conducted in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.

 

Option 5- Football Camp

At our football camp participants will learn the rules and regulations of football. Develop enhanced skills of team and individual play including throwing, securing the catch and carrying the football, route running and team offensive and defensive strategy. Individuals at the clinic will learn how team work, camaraderie, unity, and focus positively impact outcomes and create a shared vision and collective movement. Participants will perform an active warm-up and cool down each day. By the conclusion of the clinic campers will have developed a greater sense of self and an understanding of how their unique abilities and strengths contribute to the success of the group. This is all conducted in an incredibly supportive environment where teamwork and encouragement are promoted and implemented.
